____ The stock DUKE tool-kits came with a 15mm allen-head on the tip-end of a sparkplug-socket-wrench, (originally intended for the [old-style] oil-filter/drain plug-head), which will also fit that crankshaft plug-cap.

Just an FYI on this for the side plug.. I special ordered a 15mm off your recommendation and it is to large.. took a while to get the tool but should have gone with the gut instinct its a 14mm... most people gave me a blank stare and what not when i said 15mm.. one guy flat out refused to admit they make them :P..

If you have or can more easily obtain 9/16" that will cover most 14mm applications. 15mm can be a good size to own further down the road as it will do on some whitworth stuff and no 'standard' size covers it.

____ Maybe I was wrong about the exact size of all those plugs, (been over 20 years since I last had to twist one!).
When I stated the 15mm size, I was going on a memory from the '70s when I asked a Snap-On salesman visiting the shop, if he had a 15mm allen-wrench... He didn't at the time but, brought one to me (for 6.95) the following week!
After I got it, I recall that it fit the job which I had needed it for, on DUKEs ! _ So I HAD assumed that that job must have been for that crankshaft-hole plug. _ But now that you say otherwise, I'm now thinking that the job must have been for twisting fork-tube plugs!
Please check & see if your new hex-tool fits those caps.

Sorry!

____ Well at least that tool-purchase shouldn't be as sad, once you've used it to remove/install the fork-plug/caps.
Have you tried that allen-wrench for fit in them yet?
__ And a correctly sized allen-wrench for the primary-cover cap/plug isn't really needed for when the time comes to tighten the cap/plug back into it's place, since ya can then use a 14mm bolt with nut, to simply use a hand-wrench on, for that job !

Happy Cheers,

____ What is it? _ The link only goes to eBay, but not also to any listing !
Also, when-ever there's anything that you REALLY want on eBay, DON'T bid on it ! _ Instead, put it on your 'Watch List' , and that will help keep the price down, until you then place your high-bid during the last few seconds before the auction's end-time !

Hopeful Cheers,

I know about the last 30 second bid ordeal but sometimes I am not around to catch it and those guys that beat you by 50 cents even when you do that.. irks me but it is what it is...

I will keep my eye on this one as long as nobody on here goes after it as well
