Hi,
I'm looking for some parts which, according to the parts catalogue, do not exist.
Let me refer you to the widecase parts catalogue:
http://www.ducatimeccanica.com/parti_di_ricambio/pages/partidiricambio0048.htm
You will note the cylinder head bolt (#013) and the curved washer (#49.015).
The part I'm looking for is the thick washer that is placed under the curved washer, adjacent to the cylinder head. Pretty difficult since the parts list does not even acknowledge its existence. I am led to believe that the dimensions are 10.2x22x2.5mm but this is far from certain.
I'm thinking that they may well be the same ones used on the early GT and Sport before they moved over to a flanged nut design since the curved washer is the same part for the singles and the twins. Unfortunately the parts list for the twins does not show the early nut/curved washer/thick washer configuration. Which is a bit of a bugger and no help at all in this situation. Later specification fasteners shown here:
http://www.ducatimeccanica.com/750_gt_sport/pages/040.htm
Note the curved washer#015. Same as the singles bikes.
I would normally dissect one of my engines to determine the dimensions and surface finish of the item but in this case none of my bikes has the parts fitted and neither of my 750 engines has the earlier configuration of separate nut & washer.
If you can offer advice or assistance in this matter I would be very grateful.

Re: Invisible parts!
Great news! Any clues as to surface finish; bright zinc plate, passivated or chemical black?
