I'm fortunate to have a company called Transeals nearby which is staffed by people who have forgotton more about seals and o-rings than I'll ever know:

I was out and about at the time so i was using my iPhone - which, useful as it is, isn't great for reading long lists of texts, so I hadn't read the thread again in full when i asked the question. I just needed to take in the measurements provided by Jordan and ask for a suitable selection around that size - which i now have - including the 123 and a 11/16 x 1/8. (and I've replenished my stocks of almost every other o-ring and seal used on my singles and twins!)

btw,

have a look at the o-ring backing washers on that site (google backing washers transeals) as an interesting part of the solution.
