Bill,
Hagons used to supply spares and just dampers on request, that may be a cheaper option and you could request 310mm units. They do list 310mm units for the Scrambler, which are the same fitment.

Re: Rear suspension units!
Aye Nigel,
Maybe I should have asked Hagons about replacement dampers alone, but didn't. Being a bit hacked off!
When I saw what Norman Blakemore was offering, the price and having been pleased, with the pair of rear shocks that he had supplied me for the Moto Morini, I thought just to go for it.
I have now had another look at the Hagon site and found the "Scrambler" shocks, 3 spring pre-load settings with a total price of £185 inc. VAT + P&P. Having bought the NJB equivalent 310mm, 90lb springs, bushes and 5 spring pre-load settings, for £117 inc. P&P and VAT, I think that they are good value. I just await to see how robust they are, with use on our highways and biways up here.
Good health, BillR

Re: Rear suspension units!
I once did testing for Norman at Pembrey, trying to work out settings for a Ducati single race bike....that was many moons ago in the early 90's! At the time they didn't seem any different to the Hagons, maybe I just couldn't notice. That was pretty cheap for the NJB's as I was under the understanding they were made by Hagons, or at least the dampers were. Maybe they are old stock hence the bargain price, whatever I'm sure they will be fine.
