Thanks to Bob for the info, and to Jim for sending me a toolbox to measure, I now have enough info to do a drawing and can plan toward making toolboxes. I fully expect that after spending a week hand forming these things I'll find a pair for $10.00, but I at least I have a fall back position- too cold to work in my garage for a few months anyway. I'll attach my preliminary drawing.
Thanks again for the help.

I need to figure out why my PhotoBucket images turn grey- but you'll get the idea.

Bob,
Feel free to do anything you want with these pictures. I got it to view correctly by changing the color mode, of a black and white image, so there's something unusual happening. I'll finish the drawing and post again- it's good enough now as a working print, but lots of detail is missing.
In the midwest lots of Ducati singles were used as hillclimbers and scramblers- we thought we looked 'racier' if we removed sheet metal and ground frame tabs off. I didn't have a Ducati as a teenager, but I'm sure I would have vandalized the frame the same way the one I'm try to restore was ;raceified'.
There's probably some sort of Karma in spending my sixties undoing things I did in my teens.
This is a blurry picture of the frame I'm working on- not only was the rear hoop cut off with a torch, but the shock mounts are gone- footpeg and engine mounting plates are a mess- lots of work to do.

" I'll finish the drawing and post again- "

____ Okay Rick, I've re-posted your posted picture, as you had originally atempted within your post (with the failed/gray-picture attempt).

" I'll finish the drawing and post again- "

____ When you do Rick, you might as well then replace your later-posted current posted-picture with your next updated version, (since your current-version is now already posted twice).

" the frame I'm working on- not only was the rear hoop cut off with a torch, but the shock mounts are gone- footpeg and engine mounting plates are a mess- "

____ That's a real-shame Rick ! _ I've junked-out n-c frames in much better shape than that !

Hopeful-Cheers,
-Bob
