Thanks Bill. I too have a bike originally fitted with shim type rockers that now have screw type. The compression release seems to work fine but it's hard to tell what the actual contact of the pin to the rocker arm looks like. That's why I asked if there were any Ducati models built with this arrangement.

I have a note that the valve lifter plunger is 38mm long.
Factory literature that I have shows only shim type rockers with valve lifters.
Because of different shapes of shimmed vs threaded type rockers, it looks like the plunger might need to be shortened with the latter.

You are correct. I now remember I had to shorten the pin for it to work on the screw type rocker arm.
