Ta, Graeme. In fact, it's the mess left when the gearbox bearing blew. But new tyres are on order, hopefully for delivery this week ...

Yes, technology has brought some advances :D. I've got bikes with a warning light, bikes without a warning light, bikes which self-retract (real dangerous, them) and bikes with a cut out. Except ..

The one with the cut-out, when you hit a bump at speed, down jogs the side stand and cuts the engine out :o . So that is now by-passed ... 8-)

Craig, your gearbox bearing that blew, is it the one that is unobtainable?

Colin,

All the widecase bearings are readily available.
The only bearing that is hard to get hold of is one of the Mototrans 4-speed narrowcase output shaft bearings.
This is the 52 x 30 x 12 left hand bearing.
Craig's bearing that broke up was a right hand 6204

Thanks Jon, that is good news, as I've been reading about one of the Mototrans bearings that is a special, and assumed that it applied to all Mototrans bikes.
