Can someone be able to say if this tool will fit on my 125 Sport exhaust wing nut? I also see the radial tooth version as compare to this axial tooth. I would think the radial tooth is better (fitted closer to the base). Any thoughts?

Re: EX nut removal tool
Hi
Can't tell you for sure as I'm not an expert on the different types of exhaust nuts BUT in both my workshop manuals it shows a spanner that has either cutouts in a plate or teeth on a plate similiar to the unit on Ebay.
What year is your 125 Sport ?

Re: EX nut removal tool
Brian,
I don't think it will fit a 125 nut- I just checked and was surprised that the same wrench fit both the twin exhaust nut and the nut used on 250 singles, but the 125/160 nut is smaller, and my wrench, similar to the one on ebay, wouldn't fit.

Re: EX nut removal tool
Regarding factory tools for V twins and 250-450 singles, some later tools were made to fit both, others would only fit one engine type.
The nuts are not so dissimilar in size, but the 125 exhaust nut is quite smaller.

Re: EX nut removal tool
Thank you all for the information. Mine is a 1960 125 S. I don't even know if the wing nut is a stock 125 or not. I measured the tooth-to-tooth spacing along the ID of the nut (those fins are radial and the spacing around ID is less than around OD) and it was 0.260" if I remember correctly. I will double check tonight again.

Re: EX nut removal tool
I searched around for the 125/160 EX nut tool, but found only tool for the bigger engine. However BelvelHeaven listed their tool fits all singles and double bevel drive. I asked for clarification and here is Steve's answer. I don't know how special his tool is, but from the photo it looks just like other tools on the web I had seen.
The tool is down the middle of the page: http://www.bevelheaven.com/stuff-for-sale-tools.htm

I thought you were asking about OHV. It’s late, I have had a super busy day and tried to quickly check emails and respond.
My tool will fit well on all bevel drive singles and twins. 1 tool takes the place of 2 tools.

Hi Steve,
I’m sorry but why 125cc Sport and 160 Monza Jr are not bevel drive singles? See attached photo of my 1960 125 Sport with the bevel tower from case to head?

Re: EX nut removal tool
I measured again today and along the OD the tooth-to-tooth space is 0.290". Do anyone know where I can buy one in USA?
Thanks,
Brian

I'm not sure if this will work but try this. I would contact him before you buy to be sure it actually fits. If not he can probably make one.

"New Exhaust nut wrench compatible with Ducati Narrow and Wide case models and Bevel Twins

Good luck!

Re: EX nut removal tool
I like it, thanks. However, according to many suppliers, one version fits only 100, 125, and 160 bevel drive, the other version for 175 and bigger engines.
Btw, I believe my EX wing nut is a correct one for 125cc.

Brian

Re: EX nut removal tool
This store says clearly this one only fits 175 - 450cc, and not for 100 to 160. Many stores say their tool fits to all singles.

and this one fit 750-900cc

unfortunately this store doesn't show the tool for 100-160cc
