Yes I shortened the rear mudguard as I like the look with the early rear lamp and number plate carrier.Regarding value,I was offered £12,000 for it by a serious buyer at the Ace Cafe in London.It cost me more though to get it this far.

It is a huge amount... But for a brand new aspect Scrambler, moreover a 450, it is not amazing. For the mine one (here below some pictures that probaly you've already seen), only 350, last year, I've tested thanks a classified advert at 6500 euros and 3 buyers replied. It costed me 4500 euros sum total (my own work is for free
). But to get a better look, I should remove all the spokes. It would rise the global price... I think 8000 euros is reachable. But I keep it...

£12000 is a huge amount.
I would have taken it.
There has been a 450 Scrambler for sale on e-bay UK for a while for £7000,( previously £7500 I think ) that looks quite tidy.
Even that hasn't sold in a hurry.
I'd sell my 250 Scrambler for a lot less than that.

Lets not dampen the market, I haven't started my 450 scrambler restoration yet and £12000 sounds great, maybe someone will swap me a 750GT by the time I have finished

Hasn't that 860 put you off bevel v-twins yet?
Whilst I agree that the 750GT is possibly the nicest of the bevel v-twins to ride, do you really want one?
See a corner two miles ahead and start to lean into it.
Such slow steering.
Stick to singles that can be thrown around.
Anyway, I could do with getting shot of a few Italian singles to make room for the ever expanding Mototrans fleet.

I think there is a bit of extra interest what with the new Scrambler coming out.You can see the new bike really is a continuation of the old.Seemless transition.

Yes but the new version smells marketing as much. The spirit is not entirely kept, only a part of the look, and mainy thanks to colors, shapes of the tank, tires... It is not a light and agile motorbike anymore... As I see it, the Borile version is more compliant with the the genuine Scrambler spirit...

Much as I love singles, two up touring is not going to work on a a 450 Scrambler. Maybe if we were both 8 stone and traveled light it may work, but sadly that is far from reality
Horses for courses and I still love riding our 900 GTS or "Black Betty" as she is affectionately known, a real mans bike
