It's alive!!
After almost 25 years in a box I fired up my 66 n/c scrambler! Needs carb adjustments and such but now I know I have a working machine not just something cool to look at. She's in sad shape but pics are soon to follow for those that are interested. Waiting for exhaust threads to be redone at Competition Cycle pic to follow when egine is back together. It is now 9-22-11, just adding pics, she's back together!

Re: It's alive!!
Id be plenty interested in seeing as many pics as you can post, or I can pm you my email address...Im restoring a 66 scr, and have actually had trouble finding good pics to assist me in my restoration... the 66's seem more rare than you might think...

Congrats. I too would like to see the photos and would like to hear the background story about the box.

Re: It's alive!!
It is indeed the year for resurrections... My dad's 3 Dukes have been in a storage shed on the property I grew up on as a little kid, for approx. 36 years ( I was'nt born yet when they where parked if that tells you anything) I recently took ownership of the property, and by years end I aim to have 2 of the 3 restored, along with a 66 n/c 250 scr I bought out in Joplin, MO last month...
