Exhaust opinions

I am thinking about buying an exhaust pipe for the 250. I was thinking about a megaphone (eBay item #280697498537) but the complete lack of any baffling concerns me.

Currently this new 250 has a sawed-off silentium that is painted black.
Somebody on this list mentioned that Syds sells a megaphone, and that they offer their megaphone (or a version of it) with moderate noise baffling.
I'd just like to hear opions, experiences, etc.

Jim,
I have a megaphone on my Mark 3 and it is absolutely earth shattering. It screams when I start it and there is absolute no being quiet on it. It looks awesome and I think it sounds great, but I am sure that any neighbors would not appreciate it...ask mine. I have a story involving a shovel and some screaming the last time I rode it in my neighborhood.

My 250 is in Mach1 tune, I purchased a replica silentium silencer which would not allow the motor to perform ,a megaphone would look great but would not be remotely useable ,in the end i found a cigar pattern Norton Dominator silencer(from a 1960 99 600cc) fitted with little file work to the Norton hanger bracket. It looks very similar to the silentium in shape but has a much bigger outlet .Sounds great, like a 350 Goldstar and performs well,Another option would be a Conti. Are you building for show or go?, pride or ride?,could you be the 3rd person on the planet to regularly ride a ducati single?.
