ULP Valve Lubricant in Desmos

Hi All,

I did do a search on this topic and was suprised not to come up with anything. Perhaps my search was poor and if so please refer me to the appropriate thread.

I'm interested in thoughts as to the value of using a lead replacement valve lubricant with PULP/ULP fuels on bikes with original bronze based valve seats. I have a desmo 250 and springer 450. Whilst I can see some logic for a springer, is it worth the inconvenience with a desmo where the closer is mechanically controlled with lesser force spring assistance? Is it even worth it with a springer?

Regards,

Kev

The sort of use and low milage that our toys do does not warrant it, motorway milage and a weak mixture would cause problems i'm sure , I think there is a case for an upper cylinder lube additive, irregular use and no air filter gives the bore a hard time and the guides would benefit also a bit less tank rust.Redex??.
