Looking at the 250 parts catalog - The oil filler plug (dipstick) and Alternator gland nut use a '310' which is 1.5mm thick. The bottom of the oil filler extension, oil breather adapter and oil filter use a '180' which is 1mm thick.

Am I correct in assuming that the '310' is a fibre one and the '180' is aluminium?"

Could be, but I've never seen one that wasn't aluminium in known "all original" bevel Ducatis.
