carb/air box boot
Hey Guys, can anyone tell me where I might find a intake boot (carb to air box) for a '67 Sebring 350? I see ones online that say they fit ONLY '65 and nothing later, though they look close to the same.? As I have posted before, I am not using the square-ish tank that came on this model, but plan to use the stock air box/side covers. Thanks, Foss

Hi
The late type airbox rubber is unavailable anywhere as far as I know. It is not listed or recognised by Mentasti who made the originals. However If you put the two Sebring/Monza types side by side, the later one appears to be much the same as the earlier one just cut short. I'll try and grab photo of the two side by side tomorrow to show what I mean. I know some customers have just cut the later ones short and used them.
Regards Nigel

Re: carb/air box boot
Hi
Sorry for the delay in getting these pictures, I got a bit waylaid with things. The pictures show the early hose which goes to the corner of the box and the later that goes into the side/front of the box. The earlier one tapers a bit towards the carb, but the carb mount is the same for the UB24 carb. With the rubbers lined up at the carb end you can see the concertinas pretty well line up. The concertinas at the box end are very similar in dimension and there is nothing special on the later type as it attaches to the box. The concertina just tucks in the box, so I can't see any reason why if you just cut the end off the earlier hose that it would be functionally any different. As I said some of my customers have already managed to make the earlier hose to fit and I haven't had any feedback to say there were any difficulties in doing so.
Hope this helps
