Headlight - Right Parts, Right Assembly?

Boy, it is hard when you get it in baskets. So I know there were a lot of headlight assemblies. I'm trying to figure out if I have the right parts but I'm assembling it wrong, or if I just have the wrong parts.

The diameters of the parts seem to fit together, and the anti rotation bump on the bulb holder seems to fit in the reflector notch reasonably well too. However the "S" clips are not functioning to hold the bulb holder in the reflector. Too big and they will hit the contacts. Anybody know if one of the parts is wrong, or if I'm just incompetent?

On a similar note, anyone know if there is a source for the (9) springs that hold the lens, gasket, and reflector in the bezel?

the little springs that hold the glas and reflector in place are sold by the Ducati vintage store in Italy

i think Guzzino has them to as he is more or less a re seller of their parts

Hi,

Your headlight bulb holder/reflector is different from what I have.

To add to what Eldert has mentioned regarding the clips.

Your postage costs will be lower.

Yeah yours is what I see for a Mach 1 in the parts catalog. I bought a reflector that works with another style bulb holder. Ugh. Back on the hunt.

I came across those those spring clips last night and bought a set. I'll need those either way.

Thanks!
