Looking for a set of swan neck bars to replace the clip ons on my 250 with 31mm forks.Any Idea ?

31mm is an odd size, you might have to shim out some 32mm bars. What about the type of clip-ons that can be adjusted for rake? You could adjust them flat so that your hands are not angled down. Alternatively, have you tried turning your clip-ons upside down and swapping them to the opposite fork leg? It makes them much more comfortable.

Put the other style top yoke on and then your choice of bars?

I've been running my clip-ons like this for years. Because of the rake of the forks, they sit at a flat angle and give your wrists a much easier time.

I used to run standard clips-ons on the 450 MKIII, but after a spectacular spill in '78 they were replaced with cheap chrome clip-ons of varying lengths that often involved a fight with levers, switches and grips. I then started reversing/inverting a pair of clip-ons as Duccout suggests and that worked fine, but still a fight with fitting the controls.

I have never been able to find the alternative bar mounting top yoke supplied for Marzocchi forks on the later MKIII widecase models or else exchange them for gold! So, after the current rebuild I tried the inverted bars again and following an accident in 2017 they were not so comfortable. After speaking with Simon at the Stafford 2019 autumn show, I purchased a pair of 35mm swan necks and they have given me a more comfortable riding position. Your 31mm stanchion size might cause problems, but I would talk with Simon before ordering to see if he can accomodate your requirements. Alternatively, his 'Comfort clip-ons' might suit.

They look good! Ducati used to offer swan-necked clip-ons, and I had them on my 450, they worked well. It is surprising what is available out there.

Hi All, I inverted my clip ons last year ,and it was a help. I have been offered a suitable top yoke to replace my smooth one and a set of bars too. I rather like the idea of the Barlycorn set up as it may ?allow me to keep the std alloy HL brackets ..the fork legs are 31.5 . It will mean all new cables however.. A light low bike may be all I can cope with in my 80's. Won't be long!!

Me too! I'm wondering how long I'll be able to ride my 900 bevel, assuming that I can still wheel it out of the garage!
