Some time in the shed sorting parts that are surplus to my needs
A clutch cover that has an oil filler above the clutch?
This cover has the same number cast into it as standard clutch covers without this filler.
Number 0608-49-661
The filler is agip same as the plug at the end of the crank.
The internal of the clutch cover is thicker in this area than a same number wide case clutch cover.
Is it Mototrans ?

Anyone know what these indicator lights and brackets are for?

Aprilia units: gotta be something made before [s]1974*[/s], then. More than that, I cannot help :(

* Think it was '74 that Aprilia went out of business ... :geek:. Nah, correction: must have been later than that, as the 1975 860GT had Aprilia units (I should know: I owned one ... ;)). But they were gone by 1976.

Yes Aprilia. Not very good quality though .

Next question,
This steel bracket has been kicking around for a long time. Is it Ducati single?
If not it goes in the bin

(Might explain why Aprilia went out of business ... )

They look like they're intended to be mounted on sub kind of substructure, so ...

Could they be from a car - Fiat 500 perhaps? :D . Or maybe a scooter? Vespa, Lambretta etc ?

Just kicking 'coronavirus-inspired' half-baked ideas around, you understand ...

possibly yes ?

Next some pairs of fork sliders.

Both are Marzocchi I'm pretty sure.
The polished set looks like Silver Shotgun ?

The black pair were marked "73 drum brake Desmo ?
These aren't Scrambler as they are shorter than my late model Scrambler.

The other longer black pair are Cerianni "74 Desmo as I have one and can compare.

Would anyone know what this Borrani rim is from ?

Stamped, WM-2/1.85-19/40 RECORD RM-01-4860

I would think it is for a GT or Sport ? Disc brake ?

Well, that's kept me entertained for a little while, Graeme :D .

I’ve found these references for a 19”, 40 spoke, WM2 x1.85 (all fronts, btw). The last number - 4006 etc - is the Borrani rim number.

Norton Fastback 1971 : 4006
Ducati 750 Sport & GT : 4403 (1973 parts book)
(Also Honda CB750 1976 apparently)
Ducati 450 Mark 3 front : 4741

But I've found no ‘fix’ on your 4860 rim number. However, if we assume that a higher rim number means a later date of manufacture, then there’s another possibility:

1975-77 Ducati 350 GTL used 19”, 40 spoke, WM2 on the front. Unfortunately, there's no rim number given in the parts book ;) . BUT these wheels had 5 mounting holes for the brake discs, which is the same as the wheel in this photo. And which the seller (who doesn't know what it's from) says is a 4860.

WM-2.jpg

But that begs the question. Why would you have the rim for the front wheel of a 350 GTL? :o :D

Ciao

Craig in coronavirus lock-down.
