what's a 1978 vento worth?

I've got one, needs quite a lot of work, and I'd be interested to know what it might be worth if I get around to fixing it up. I've never seen one for sale.

I've never seen one in real life, much less one for sale. Its rarity would likely be to your benefit.

I think eBay might be your best best to get the best money for it, though I would recommend a reserve so as not to let it go for little money if you don't get a good offer. What you need is two guys that both badly want it to get the price up to whatever the market value is.

Hi Jim
Thanks, I'm not really interested in selling it, just curious.

Vento prices will depend on where in the world you live.
In Spain they have dropped quite a bit, of late.
A fairly good condition one can be picked up for about 4000 Euros, whilst a rough one may be as low as 600 Euros.
Spain is still the cheapest place in Europe for Ducati singles.
In the US, where I only know of one Vento, the price may be higher than in Europe.
Australia generally commands high prices for bevel Ducatis, and Ventos are not common there, so you pay what the seller asks or what it's worth to you.
