My 67 250 passed its MOT yesterday although i had to convince the tester that the Dymo sticker on the headstock WAS the frame number!, Also he was not happy that the forks would top out with a clunk. Don't want to strip the forks if this is normal?.

There should be a topping spring between the damper valve and the damper piston that would soften the clunk when the fork tops out. But, depending upon the viscosity of the fork oil you use, there could still be a report if the fork is extended with such force that the topping spring coil binds. Matt
