how to replace seal behind points plate? 250 Monza.

if anyone can guide me as to how I get to the old seal, remove it, and put the new one in, I'd be grateful.

too hard for me I'm afraid. I've already admitted I'm not very bright. If specifics around this repair are available, I'd be very grateful.
