oil filters for narrowcase singles

Folks,
Has anyone ever separated the lug nut end from the oil filter tube ? I have what appears to be a nice oil filter the lug end is been play with, quite a bit and I would like to use the filter, but would replace the end ? Is this possible ? Any ideas who might hvae some parts ?

I took a quick look at an extra I had. It's probably possible with adequate care and patience to reuse just the filter, but that doesn't mean it will be easy. First you will need to find an M22 (or M21) bolt with a 1.5 pitch, not very common to say the least. You'll need to shorten it and attach the filter with near perfect alignment to the bolt. This all assumes you managed to remove the existing one cleanly. I would suggest looking for a used one on fleaBay.

Ther are very helpful, even when the post in another country stuffs up.
Might be better to buy a new one.
