serial # question
I just bought a 1966 Ducati Monza serial # DM 92748. Is there a list of serial numbers correlated to years the bikes were manufactured? I'v heard that some states in the '60's registered bikes the year they were sold no matter when they were made.

____ You stated number indicates (to me) that your 250-Duke model is a very-early '66-edition, (which still may have been actually 'constructed' in late '65).
If it were instead a very late 1965-model, then it would not have the square-styling which came-out for the 1966 model-year.

PLEASE NOTE... If this-post is not-yet signed-off with '-Bob', then I'm still in the process of completing it,, and if not also included with 'DCT' near bottom as well, then I may edit this post's wording at a later time. - Dct.Bob
