Protech Shock Absorbers

Postby Duccout » Mon May 12, 2025 10:11 am

Hi,

I thought I would give a shout out to a British company that makes high quality rear shock absorbers at a very reasonable price.Protech Shocks are a long-established company based in Wiltshire who have been making shock absorbers for the car world for years; they also made the shock absorbers sold by French company Shock Factory for years and now are keen to increase their motorcycle market share.

I decided to try a pair of their shocks on my Royal Enfield Hunter and must say how impressed I am, the service is excellent and the company will discuss any details with you before you buy. The shocks cost around £380 delivered, are aluminium, anodized and have thumb wheel damping adjustment at the back of the body. Spring preload is via a threaded adjuster so between the spring adjustment and the damping adjustment very accurate settings can be obtained. On the road they ride beautifully and are very comfortable, which as an old guy, is important to me.

Protech have most twin-shock bikes listed including Ducati Singles, so if you are in the market, have a look at their web site.

Cheers,

Colin
