Has anyone fitted an LED bulb or headlight to their single?
A brighter LED tail light would also be nice.
I now have a great 12v system using the chinese R/R, it works well.
I would like to keep the headlight on during daytime riding so thought to go LED to get the brightest I can. I have no plans for night riding.
The chrome on my headlight is long gone and the glass has a crack so total replacement can only improve it, if I can find something that is not too funky.
Regards
LED headlight

Re: LED headlight
Aye Alex,
I fitted a Hadleigh Custom fibreglass Honda 4/400 replacement headlamp shell to the 450 way back in 1978, after a slide and barrel roll on diesel!
Might I suggest a Lucas 7" headlamp shell is not too expensive and will "look the part" if you don't want to
I have also purchased a rear/brake LED light unit from Paul Goff for my Lucas rear light and, with rubber mounting of the light unit onto the rubber mounted number plate and an earth, wired directly to the frame earth, I have had no problems in 2,000 miles, so far!
So, I would advise that you have a thorough read through Paul Goff's website and ask questions of him if you are unsure. Link is below:

Hope this helps. Good health, Bill

Re: LED headlight
I'm running an LED headlight on my 250 which is 12v. It is just a cheap Chinese one that I bought off eBay. No problems so far.

Me too on my RT
Good for other people to see me, but crap for me to see the road ahead at night.

Re: LED headlight
I bought one from this place - very bright but beam pattern a bit disappointing. They make a load of different ones to suit old fashioned bulb holders.
I haven't bothered with changing the tail light bulb as the generator keeps up OK with the reduction in current due to the LED lamp.
I am running a 12V system.

Re: LED headlight
Thanks all,
I'll buy a shell then an LED lamp or get a complete unit.
I am sure the technology will improve rapidly so just a cheap but bright one for now.
